This program is 100% FREE! Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Located at Lodge Hill in Plymouth open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and in Jackson at The Hub open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2-5.
We do all sorts of fun activities and projects as well as the occasional field trip
(free also!). Homework help is available and snacks are provided. We are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and
Thursdays from 2pm-5pm. Be sure to bring your completed and signed by a parent
waiver form. We will not meet on school holidays or minimum days. We hope to

The Duck Race takes place Saturday, April 25th at Minnie Provis Park in Sutter Creek. Races start at 9am with the Duck Dash Run at 8am. Duck Race tickets will be available starting March 6th at the ACRA office and from the beneficiaries listed.

Take a trip back in time on the ghost trails adventure! A scavenger hunt through the historic Pine Grove, Aqueduct and Volcano cemeteries. Use a map to find specific cemeteries on the adventure. Find the headstones that correspond to short stories of pioneers, their journey west and settling in Amador County. Packets are $10, available at the ACRA office or we can email it to you. This is a great family activity!
Proceeds benefits ACRA and the Amador County Cemetery Board.
Sunday October 4th -- Sprint and Olympic Distances Available, a USAT Sanctioned Triathlon. The swim takes place in the waters of Lake Camanche, the bike ride features a loop through the beautiful hills of Buena Vista, and the run is an out-and-back on the lakeview China Gulch Trail. Prizes to the top overall finishers -- Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals to the top 3 finishers in each age group.
Each participant will receive a free t-shirt, a goodie bag, and healthy snacks throughout the day.
What: Walk to benefit programs and research at Casana, a nonprofit helping children with Apraxia, a motor speech disorder.
When: Saturday May 16th at Amador High. Check-in at 8am, walk starts at 9am.
Cost: Kids: $10/Adults $20 (pre-registration) Walk-up registration at the event is always welcome (Kids: $12/Adults $25).

Amador County Recreation Agency (ACRA), in partnership with Amador Flyfishers, a local fly fishing club, is pleased to offer a course on the ins and outs of fly fishing to those who want to learn about the sport.
Course content includes: What fly fishing is about, Bugs, their life cycle and importance in fly fishing, Overview of fly fishing equipment and how to use it, Where to find fish and why they are where they are, Where to go fly fishing and special regulations, Casting techniques - a demonstration and an opportunity to practice.
Cost is $40 and classes will be held on June 13 & 14 9:00 am - 4:00 pm at The HUB / 206B Main Street, Jackson. Class size is limited to 20 people. Must be 18 years or older. Ages 12-17 may attend, but must be accompanied by an adult participant.
A fishing trip is scheduled for June 27th. Time and location to be announced.
Bienvenue! The purpose of this class is to give you an immediate speaking ability in French. This 5-week class runs Tuesdays, April 28 through May 26 at the ACRA office.
