49er Bypass Run/Walk Challenge

March 13, 2010 in Sutter Creek. Three distances: 1 mile run/walk, 5k and 10k runs. All proceeds benefit ACRA. For more info, call ACRA at (209) 223-6373 or download flyer and registration form.

Aquatics Training Schedule

At Jackson Pool. Register at Jackson City Hall, 33 Broadway, Jackson. Registration and payment required before class starts. Call 223-1646 for more info.

    Basketball - Men's League Starts in November

    November - March. $700.00 per team. Games at Amador and Argonaut High Schools. Sign-ups October 28th. For more info, call ACRA at (209) 223-6373.

    Day Camp for Children

    Spring Day Camp runs March 15-19 for children 6-12 years of age and features all day fun-in-the-sun: games, crafts, exploring extravaganza and more! The cost of the program is $100. The Camp will run from 8am - 4pm at Detert Park in Jackson. Each camper should bring a bag lunch. ACRA will provide campers with a daily snack, an opportunity to explore, learn new games, meet new friends and have a great time during spring break.     Disc Golf Course in Pioneer

    ACRA is building a permanent disc golf course at Mollie Joyce Park in Pioneer. Now is your chance to get involved! We need Basket Sponsors for the course, which is the first of its kind in Amador County. For just $500, you can permanently display your business name year-round. Volunteer to help ACRA auger the baskets, make trails for the course, or clear brush. For more volunteer info or to sponsor, call Matt at 223-6373.

    Guitar Lessons

    There is still room to sign up for ACRA's guitar lessons. Matt Nestor teaches many different styles and genres, including finger picking, blues and metal. Classes are $10 for each 30-minute weekly group session. Donated equipment is available for use (2 guitars, amp, strings, picks, chords, books etc.) To register or for more information, contact Matt Nestor at 223-6373.

    Laser Tag Tournaments

    Back by popular demand! This tournament is for all ages. Tournaments will be held Thursday February 11th and 25th and March 11 and 25th at the Plymouth Fairgrounds in the Main Event Hall. $2 per game and each game is a 20-minute round.

    Play Times - Elementary and Jr. High: 2:30-4:00, High School and Adults: 5:00-7:00

    Photography Classes in Pioneer

    The newly-renovated Mollie Joyce House off of Highway 88 in Pioneer is proud to offer Beginning Photography Classes. Classes start August 29th and the fee is $125 for 3 sessions. Call for times and scheduling. Open darkroom first Saturday of every month upon request. $10 per hour. Contact Adam Lindsey 223-6373.
