After School Program in Jackson and Plymouth

This program is 100% FREE! Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Located at Lodgehill in Plymouth and The Hub in Jackson. We do all sorts of fun activities and projects as well as the occasional field trip (free also!). Homework help is available and snacks are provided. We are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2pm-5pm. First day will be August 20th, be sure to bring your completed and signed by a parent waiver form. Book Sale

The Friends of the Amador County Library will hold their Fall Book Sale October 17- 19 at the American Legion Hall, 12134 Airport Rd., Sutter Creek on Hwy. 49 across from the Italian Picnic Grounds. Thousands of books, audio books, DVDs and CDs in every category will be sold at bargain prices.
Friday, Oct. 17 4 pm-7 pm (Member only night; join at the door)
Saturday, Oct 18 10 am-5 pm
Sunday, Oct 19 11 am-3 pm (all items half price)

Children's Theater Workshop

Looking for girls and boys ages 7 through 12 with lots of energy and creativity for our 2nd Children's Theatre Workshop led by Marty Brifman. There are 20 spots available for a 4-week theatre workshop. The workshop will begin with improvisational games, stage direction, & stage presence while building confidence through a theatre team. The team will learn all aspects of theatre production ending with two live performances.
When: June 16th, 2014 through July 9, 2014, 9am to 12pm Monday through Wednesday. Performance dates July 12th and July 13th at the HUB .
Fee: $150

Downhill Extravaganza

Bring your whole family and ride this fun downhill course on Main Street in Amador City starting at 4pm! Pay $5 per person or $20 for a family and ride as many times as you want. Every rider must wear a helmet, closed-toe shoes and sign a waiver at registration. Pre-registration is available at the ACRA office! Bring your own big wheel, or borrow someone else's.
ALL RIDERS MUST HAVE...Signed waiver, closed-toe shoes and a helmet.

Ghost Trails Cemetery Hunt

Use the map we give you or GPS to find three upcountry cemeteries, searching for specific headstones corresponding to stories of pioneers who settled in Amador County. How to play: Pick up a packet from ACRA for $10 each. Proceeds benefits ACRA and the Amador County Cemetery Board.

Summer Day Camp at THE HUB

Starts June 16th from 9am-5pm
$125 per child includes camp t-shirt, snacks and daily entry to the Jackson Pool.
Special guests and activities include ceramics with Pam Sharp, drumming for kids and more!

Swimming Pool Info

Tri Amador Triathlon

The swim takes place in the waters of Lake Camanche, the bike ride features a loop through the beautiful hills of Buena Vista, and the run is an out-and-back on the lakeview China Gulch Trail. Awards presented to top finishers and age-group winners.

Fly Fishing

In partnership with Amador Flyfishers, a local fly fishing club, ACRA is pleased to offer a course to teach the ins and outs of fly fishing.
Classes will start again in October.

French Class

Bienvenue! The purpose of this class is to give you an immediate speaking ability in French. This 4-week class runs Wednesday, July 30th to August 20th from 6pm to 7:30pm at the ACRA office. The cost is $65 per person. To pre-register, email Anthony Moyer.

Youth Sports Fair

This event on Saturday, July 12 9am-1pm is an opportunity for youth ages 7-12, to try out different sports to see what they like. With the guidance of an experienced adult athlete and/or coach, participants will have a schedule that takes them through each sport they wish to try.
Available Sports to Choose From Include: Baseball, Football, Softball, Karate, Basketball, Wrestling, Tennis, Golf, Soccer, Track, Volleyball, Gymnastics, and Cheerleading.
