After School Program

Beginning February 1 and running through the end of school, Amador County Recreation Agency invites all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to be a part of our Rec-ing Crew in our after school program! We'll offer homework help, provide snacks, and host a multitude of fun activities, challenges, and games! Learn and play and try all sorts of new things; Learn how to cook, swim, design and build with all kinds of materials, and so much more! And as a bonus, field trips will be offered -- rock climbing anyone? The program is FREE thanks to our sponsors: Jackson Rancheria & the City of Plymouth. Baseball - Little League 2012 Registration

Registration open from January to February 15th. Registrations forms can be downloaded from www.acclle.com. Download the flyer for more information and registration locations.

Basketball - Men's

Sign up now to have your team in the league this year. Only 1 spot left in A league and 1 spot left in B league. League fees are $650 per team and fees are due before the 1st game. Rosters and registration forms also need to be filled out before game play. League starts November 6th. E-mail ktraverso@amadorgov.org or call 223-6349 to secure your spot.

Basketball - Youth

Winter league for grades K-8. Register now through October 21. Play begins in January. For more information call 223-6349 or download the flyer.

Bypass Run/Walk

ACRA's 6th Annual Bypass Run 5K and 10K. April 7th, 2012. Race starts at 9am in downtown Sutter Creek.

Registration Fees:

  • Youth (under 17) - $20
  • Adult (over 18) - $25
  • Family of 4 - $50 and additional family member $10

Please download and return the registration form by March 15 to reserve your Race T-Shirt. Online Registration is also available on active.com ($3.25 service charge applies)

Cooking - Kid's Cooking Class

Parents not home after school? 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders can learn to cook 3 easy survival meals with Chef Kim! THURSDAYS FEBRUARY 9TH, 16TH, 23RD 4-5:30PM at the Amador High Culinary Room. 3 classes for $40. Space is limited.

Cooking on a Budget

Chef James of TASTE Restaurant leads three classes: pasta, soups and meat. Wednesdays February 7, 21, 28 from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Amador High Culinary Room. 3 classes for $40, plus cost of food. Scholarship opportunities available. Space is limited.

Cooking - Truffle Making Class

Come join Chef Emily and learn to make your very own chocolate truffles! Each participant will make and take home 10-15 truffles in decorative packaging! A perfect Valentine's gift. Monday February 13 5:30-7:30pm in the Amador High Culinary Room. Space is limited and the cost is $25.

Disc Golf

If you would like to get involved in ACRA's permanent disc golf course, we need Basket Sponsors and volunteers! For just $500, you can permanently display your business name year-round. Volunteer to help ACRA auger the baskets, make trails for the course, or clear brush. For more volunteer info or to sponsor, call ACRA at 223-6373.

Duck Race

The 25th Annual Great Sutter Creek Duck Race - April 28th, 2012. Look for more information coming soon on how to adopt a duck! Call ACRA or e-mail ktraverso@amadorgov.org for more information.

Laser Tag

Let ACRA host your Laser Tag Party! $75 an hour includes one ACRA staff member. Call ACRA or e-mail ktraverso@amadorgov.org for more information.

Soccer - Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp

June 11-15 at Howard Park in Ione. Mini Soccer 9-10:30am or 10:40am-12:10pm, ages 3-5. Half Day Soccer, 9am-12pm, ages 6-12. Half Day Soccer 1pm-4pm, ages 10-14. To register go to www.challengersports.com and recive a free 2012 British soccer jersey.

Spaghetti Feed - ACRA and the Amador County Cemetery Board

Thursday, January 26 at the Jackson Civic Center, $10 in advance and $15 at the door or $25 per couple at the door. Doors open at 5:30pm, Dinner at 6:30, Raffle and door prize at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at the ACRA office, Mon-Thurs 9-5.

Tennis - Jr. Team Tennis League

Boys and girls ages 7-14 play doubles tennis in three ability levels. Beginners welcome! Each team will have one practice per week starting in March and one match each Saturday from April 14 - May 19. For more info, go to Amador Tennis Club. Registration deadline is February 29.
