After School Arts Classes at the HUB - HUB Art

FREE for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Graders in Amador County. Classes will be offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-5:00. Includes Art, Music, Dance, Sculpture, Pottery ,Crafts and more! This is funded in part by the California Arts Council and is a collaborative project between Amador Arts and ACRA. KICK OFF PARTY - Thursday October 17th, 3-5pm . Everyone is welcome! Come enjoy Music, Snacks, Art and Games!

After School Program in Jackson and Plymouth

This program is 100% FREE! Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Located at Lodgehill in Plymouth and The Hub in Jackson. We do all sorts of fun activities and projects as well as the occasional field trip (free also!). Homework help is available and snacks are provided. We are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2pm-5pm. First day will be August 20th, be sure to bring your completed and signed by a parent waiver form. Benefits Ione Elementary 5th Grade Science Camp. Our goal is to raise $5000 or more for approximately 90 students to attend Science Camp in 2015.

Duck Race

The 27th Annual Great Sutter Creek Duck Race will be held Saturday April 26th! Tickets are on sale now! 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. This year 14 local non-profits are participating.

Ghost Trails Cemetery Hunt

Use the map we give you or GPS to find three upcountry cemeteries, searching for specific headstones corresponding to stories of pioneers who settled in Amador County. How to play: Pick up a packet from ACRA for $10 each. Proceeds benefits ACRA and the Amador County Cemetery Board.

Gold Geology

Find your inner prospector at ACRA's Gold Geology 101 class. Learn the basics of gold geology, how it is formed and where to most likely find it.

British Soccer Camps

British Soccer Camp June 9-13 at Howard Park in Ione, for kids ages 3-16. Register before April 25 to get a free jersey.
9-10:30am Mini Soccer: ages 3-5 yrs $111
10:40-12:10pm Mini Soccer: ages 3-5 yrs $111
9-12pm Half Day: ages 6-12 yrs $130
12:30-2pm Golden Goal: ages 6-12 $45. Golden Goal is only available to players who sign up for the half day program.

Fly Fishing

In partnership with Amador Flyfishers, a local fly fishing club, ACRA is pleased to offer a course to teach the ins and outs of fly fishing.
Classes May 17 & 18 at the HUB Community Center, 206B Main St. in Jackson. Fishing Trip May 31 (time and location TBD).
Cost is $40 and space is limited. Ages 12-17 OK if accompanied by adult participant.

French Class

More than 200 million people speak French on the five continents. French is the ninth most widely spoken language in the world. The purpose of this class is to give you an immediate speaking ability in French. If you are planning a trip or moving where French is spoken, this class will be perfect for you!

Youth Sports Fair

This event on Saturday, May 3 is an opportunity for youth ages 7-12, to try out different sports to see what they like. With the guidance of an experienced adult athlete and/or coach, participants will have a schedule that takes them through each sport they wish to try.
Available Sports to Choose From Include: Baseball, Football, Softball, Karate, Basketball, Wrestling, Tennis, Golf, Soccer, Track, Volleyball, Gymnastics, and Cheerleading.
